Formula 1 or Formula One, abbreviated to F1 (Formula One in English, French Formula One, Formel Eins in German), founded in 1946
, is the highest class of racing for car discoveries defined by International Automobile Federation (FIA), the world motor sport governing body. The "formula" of the name is a set of rules which all participants and cars and drivers must meet. The title of the sport, Formula 1, also indicates, as a term, the most advanced and competitive race of the various formulas exist or existed.
The F1 World Championship is a series of strokes, also known as Grand Prix, which are held mainly on tracks and in a few cases on closed city streets to traffic. The results of each race determine two annual World Championships, one for drivers and one for constructors. It is an extraordinary television event, constantly followed by millions of people and broadcast to over 200 countries. The speed of the machines is very high, generally above 300 km / h (190 miles). The formula introduces a number of restrictions and specifications in the car, designed primarily for safety reasons, to minimize risk of accidents on high speed. The performance of the car depends mainly by four factors: electronics, aerodynamics, suspension and tires. The formula has had many changes during its history. There were different types of engines, naturally aspirated and turbo supercompressi, classified by the power line 4 to H16, with capacities from 1.5 to 4.5 liters. The maximum power was around 1200 horses during the era of turbo, in the eighties
.
L 'Europe
is the traditional place of business of Formula 1 and remains the market leader. Of course, the races were held all over the world with new races in Bahrain , China, Malaysia and Turkey since 1999, announced to other Singapore from 2008 , in UAE United and India from 2009 and South Korea from 2010, with many new nations remaining on the list 's waiting - the European Russia , Bulgaria and Greece - and countries that have hosted historical events around aspiring to return to - all, South Africa and Mexico - F1 is the new objective of further expansion, especially in the east. In USA , where so many races you have played, this formula has never conquered the masses, since the first attempts in the fifties with the inclusion of Indianapolis 500 until 1960, and continues with races run on street circuits of Dallas, Las Vegas , Phoenix and Detroit . The U.S. motor movement still remains to a large extent independent and organizing three separate sets of motor racing. It is one of most expensive sport in the world, with significant economic effects: its political and commercial battles are observed and commented upon everywhere. Its high popularity has led to a significant investment of merchandising and sponsors, resulted in high budget for teams of developers. In recent years several teams like Prost and Arrows went bankrupt.

F1 is governed by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (International Automobile Federation, more commonly abbreviated as FIA), which has its headquarters in Paris in Place de la Concorde . The current president is Max Mosley . The commercial and financial rights are regulated by the Formula One Group, owned up to the end of 2005 the company SLEC Holdings, which sold in early 2006, the share of its shares to CVC Capital Partners through a complex financial transaction. Although he is now a minority shareholder, the sport and its television rights - issued by the Formula One Management - are still controlled at the level of promotional and operational Bernie Ecclestone through the company Alpha Prema. The German
Michael Schumacher holds the record for winning the world drivers titles (seven) and Ferrari holds that for the constructors' title (fourteen). The Austrian Jochen Rindt was the only world champion to the memory after the fatal accident occurred during practice for the Italian Grand Prix in 1970 . Again, in 2006 Renault and Fernando Alonso win their respective manufacturers and drivers titles. At the age of 25 years Alonso became the youngest world champion to win twice in a row the world championship title, after both won Brazilian Grand Prix
